Personal support after acquired brain injury

Your life has changed. Your possibilities have not disappeared.

Coaching around energy, sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, mindset and meditation. It is adapted to your capacity and what matters to you.

A clear explanation first

What is acquired brain injury?

Acquired brain injury is damage to the brain that occurs after birth.

It may be caused by a stroke, accident, lack of oxygen, infection or another condition. The cause and effects differ from person to person.

Some changes are visible, such as difficulty moving or speaking. Other effects are not immediately apparent, including fatigue, sensory overload, memory problems, difficulty planning or emotional changes.

Acquired brain injury can change what you can do, as well as how you think, feel and respond. This can be confusing for you and for the people around you.

You may recognise this

Things that once came naturally now take a lot of energy.

After brain injury, your day may feel different. You want to move forward, but your body or mind sometimes applies the brakes. That is not a lack of willpower.

My energy runs out quickly

Sometimes you notice your limit only after you have already crossed it.

Sleep does not provide enough recovery

You are tired but find it hard to settle or wake without feeling rested.

Healthy habits feel overwhelming

Planning, cooking, moving and persevering require more organisation than before.

I have less confidence in myself

Setbacks, stimuli and change can cause uncertainty or tension.

Choose what suits you now

Three calm starting points for support

You do not need to know exactly what you need beforehand. These three themes help make your first question manageable and clear.

01

Energy and recovery

Use the energy you have more effectively

We explore where your energy goes, when recovery is needed and how to recognise signs of overload earlier.

  • Build your energy step by step
  • Improve your sleep and evening calm
  • Find a better balance between activity and recovery
02

Nutrition and lifestyle

Live more healthily without added pressure

No strict programme, but simple choices that fit your energy, sensitivity to stimuli, home situation and daily rhythm.

  • Make healthier eating achievable
  • Develop a lifestyle that suits you
  • Learn to maintain small habits
03

Calm and confidence

Respond differently to tension and change

We work on supportive thoughts and habits, with attention to loss, uncertainty and confidence in what remains possible.

  • Develop a supportive mindset
  • Learn to meditate in a calm way
  • Build more confidence in yourself

Support that adapts with you

Start small. Discover what helps. Only then move forward.

Marjon does not use a fixed programme. A good step is not the biggest step, but one you can understand, carry out and maintain.

  1. 1
    We map out your day

What takes energy, what brings calm and where would you first like to feel a change?

  2. 2
    We choose one achievable goal

Clear, manageable and suited to your current capacity.

  3. 3
You try it in your own life

Without judgement, we explore what works and what still asks too much.

  4. 4
    We adjust together

We keep what helps. What does not fit is simplified or let go.

Supported by someone who knows it from the inside

Marjon knows how much courage everyday things can require again.

After three brain injury events and aphasia, Marjon had to relearn cooking, planning, cycling and driving. Her recovery, together with her professional training, forms the basis of her support.

She does not compare your path with hers. She helps you discover what works for your body, daily life and pace.
